NEW YORK, NY. (Aug. 26, 2014)—‘Cesca Enoteca & Trattoria today announced the Second Annual Welcome Back from Summer/Sunday Brunch Kickoff. All guests with reservations will receive 50% off any food purchase on September 7th during Sunday Brunch hours from 11:30 am – 3:00 pm.The Welcome Back from Summer campaign begins with the introduction of its 2014-15 brunch menu created by ‘Cesca Enoteca & Trattoria Executive Chef, Craig Wallen. “Sunday brunch is a relaxing way to spend time with friends and family and we are excited to introduce our new brunch menu,” said ‘Cesca General manager, Todd Whiteman. “Chef Craig Wallen and Co-Owner Godfrey Polistina have created an exciting brunch twist to our classic farm-to-table Italian-American menu. We invite guests to relax, enjoy fresh hand-squeezed juices and brunch cocktails that complement the new a la carte brunch menu.” A sampling of the weekend brunch menu includes: Fresh Fruit, Yogurt & Granola; Eggs Benedict, prosciutto, roasted tomato, hollandaise; Fried Chicken and Waffles; Savory French Toast, mortadella, fried egg and fontina; and Buttermilk Pancakes, banana, maple syrup, seasonal fruit preserves. The brunch-inspired cocktail menu was created under the direction of ‘Cesca Enoteca & Trattoria Beverage Director, Michael Linteau. Linteau puts a twist on traditional brunch cocktails with the introduction of drinks, such as the “Fresh Squeezed Grapefruit Spritzer,” “Blood Orange Mimosa” and “Calabrian-Chili Bloody Mary.”

A Night of Film and Food
For the second year in a row, the James Beard Foundation Greens (foodies under 40) are partnering with the Film Society of Lincoln Center’s own under-40 group, New Wave, to present a fabulous evening of film and food at the organization’s Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center. Guests will enjoy a special screening of the acclaimed film Jiro Dreams of Sushi, followed by a reception featuring some of New York’s finest chefs, sake, beer, and wine.
